About the Teacher
-
Hello!
Welcome to your child’s new classroom! I am so excited to have them! In this letter, you will learn a little about me and what my classroom will be like!
This will be my fourth year at Brown’s Valley, but it will be my second year as the third grade teacher.
I grew up in Forman, North Dakota where I spent lots of time with family, friends, and playing sports. Following graduation, I attended Northern State University and completed my degree in May 2019. I moved to Beardsley, MN in December 2019 and now reside with my husband, Tyler and our 2 year old daughter, Madilyn.
Fun fact: Tyler and I are growing our family and expecting our second child this winter!!
In my classroom, I will not only work to make sure your child is getting their academic needs met, but will also work alongside them to grow in their social/emotional education & personal responsibility. I use a classroom model that will help students learn to be responsible and independent. This year we will work as a team to set goals and class expectations while we work to reach our highest potential! I am also a firm believer in pushing students to be compassionate and kind to those around them while working together in a classroom.
The first two weeks of school will focus on learning the new school procedures put into place to keep your child as safe as possible, learning classroom procedures, and making connections with peers as well as their new teacher. Your child will soon find out that I will be one of their biggest supporters while pushing them to be the best student and person they can be!
I have a very open communication policy. If you at any time have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me (I check this a few times every day), send me a message on remind, or call the school and ask to talk to me! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child this year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Schulz
