EducationI grew up in Browns Valley, MN and attended K-8th grade here. I then went to Sisseton High School. After graduating I attended the Minnesota State University of Moorhead where I majored in Elementary Inclusive Education and minored in Special Education. While in college I enjoyed playing rugby. After graduating I accepted my first teaching job in Sisseton, SD. I taught 5th grade there for two years. In 2016 I was hired at the Browns Valley School, and became the 4th-grade teacher for a year before moving up to the middle school. I now teach 5th and 6th-grade math, science, and social studies.

My husband's name is Andy Raw and he is the Director of Environmental Services at the Browns Valley Health Center. We have a beautiful one-year-old daughter, Deandra. We also have two dogs, Piper and Penny, one cat, Ginger, and 7 horses. We enjoy watching movies, going to the lake, and spending time with our families.
My mom, Laurie, taught at the Browns Valley School for 39 years before retiring in 2015. She now watches my daughter during the day while I am at work. My dad, David, works for the Wilmot Veterinary Clinic. My oldest brother, Tyler, is married and works as a police officer in Sisseton, SD. He and his wife Brittany have 2 sons, Eli and Kai, who I love getting to spend time with. My older sister, Brittany, is married and works at a bank in Eureka, SD. She and her husband Jeremy have 2 kids, Jerimany and Harlow, and they enjoy working on their family cattle farm. I have two younger siblings, Kylee and Devan. Kylee is headed off to her first year of college at MSUM this year to major in Biology. Devan will be a junior at Sisseton High School and he enjoys playing sports.
